Happy Sunday!!
It has been a super busy week and weekend and for some reason I have been feeling super tired (I totally blame the weather, but the sun is shining today so that’s fantastic 😁)
Anywho I wanted a simple yet put together outfit for today. So I went with a chambray shirt (you can never go wrong with chambray) and a striped skirt.
I really liked how it turned out so I decided to makes a “Modest in Stripes” lookbook.
My chambray shirt is originally from Gap but I found it at Savers for 6 bucks! (thank the Lord for thrift stores)
I found this super cute striped pleated skirt on Sheinside and scored it for 40% off. And it’s the perfect length! Since I’m rather short, clothes always hit me at a weird place, they’re either too short or too long but not long enough (which makes me look even shorter) but not this skirt. I didn’t even have to add a skirt extender. Awesome!
I also kept my accessories simple.
I have been looking for a nice wide brown belt for long time and I finally found this super cute one on ebay for 4 bucks. Score!
My shoes are from an end-of-season sale at Charlotte Russe. They were in the “last pair” bin and I got them for $5! Woohoo!
My necklace is from Our World Boutique. An awesome boutique I found on Instagram. (Thank you Instagram) It is the perfect shade of red! I absolutely love it!
I decided to put my hair up in this huge sock bun because, truthfully, I just didn’t want to deal with my hair today (honestly I discovered that it takes more effort to take care of updos on my hair than it does when I curl or straighten it and leave it down) But I still like updos!
Although this look was simplistic, I really liked the way it turned out and hope you enjoyed it too.
So be on the lookout for more “Modest in Stripes” looks.
With Love,
Miss Lynsie
