Happy Mother’s Day

Hi there,

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms (and grandmas) out there.

As I was sitting in church today, listening to the pastor preach about the influence moms have. I thought of all the moms I’ve met and know that have had an influence on my life. There are many who have given me great advice and have helped me. But I have narrowed it down to 2 of the most influential moms in my life.

#1 – My Mom

How can you ever say thank you enough to someone who has always been there when you needed them and never expected anything in return… A million thank yous will never be enough.

Moms are some of the only people that see you at your worst and still think the best of you.

My mom has always been one of the greatest helps in my life. She was always there to listen and to give great advice. She taught me to stand for what I believe in even if I’m standing alone. She taught me to work hard, to help others and to be giving. She’s an amazing wife and taught my sister and I how to love and respect our men. She’s one of the greatest examples of a servant of God I have ever met. She’s always giving to others without ever expecting anything back.

I’m very grateful that God chose my mom to be my mom. I know I would not be the person I am today without her. I could go on and on about how great she is and all the life lessons she taught me, but I’ll sum it all up with, Thank You Mom!

#2 – My Sister

So my sister has been married for almost 9 years and has 4 kids and it still blows my mind when I think about it.

My sister is the best I could ever ask for (sorry other sisters out there, I got the best!) Now I don’t know why God chose for me to have the best sister ever but I’m so grateful that He did.

My sister moved to Canada almost 8 years ago when she was pregnant with her first baby. Thankfully I’ve been able to visit her and she’s been able to visit us and we’ve able to FaceTime (thank you technology) but it’s not the same… But in spite of that she’s still an amazing mom. She’s so caring and loving. She is one of the most creative people I know. She home-schools her kids and because of her awesome education skills all my nephews and niece are geniuses (I’m a teacher, trust me I know). I’m so grateful that I have her as an example to look up to.

Brittany, thank you for being you! And for being the best sister I could ask for. Thank you for being an example of perseverance even in the face of great adversity. You are amazing! Thank you for being the best sister ever and for being one of the best moms I know. I love ya Beeny!
