Happy Saturday to you!
Boy oh boy is it hot here today in Utah.. but that’s okay because I’ve been inside (hallelujah for air-conditioning!) making (and teaching others how to make) these awesome Father’s Day projects.
So I thought I would show you all how to make them as well. A lovely lady in church showed me a picture of some Father’s Day decorations and I saw something very similar to these and I thought ‘oooo I think I can totally make that’ So I tried and I loved the way they turned out.
What you’ll need:
- 8 1/2 x 11 paper (any color)
- 6 x 6 paper (different designs)
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun and glue
- Buttons
- Embellishments
Step 1: Take an 8 1/2 x 11 paper, fold it in half, then cut that in half (you should be able to make 2 per paper)
Step 2: Half an inch down from the fold, cut an inch long cut on each side
Step 3: Fold the cuts toward the middle until the top corners touch
Step 4: Take the 6×6 paper and cut out a tie
Step 5: Glue tie to paper shirt
Step 6: Glue top corners down (the collar)
Step 7: Glue buttons on each side
Now for shirt with a bow tie steps 1-3 are the same.
Step 4: Glue top corners down (the collar)
Step 5: Glue 2 or 3 (or as many as you’d like) buttons on the shirt
Use it as a decoration or a Father’s Day card.
If you have any other ideas to use these for or how we can change it up, I would love to hear from you.
Now let your creativity and imaginations run wild!
And I hope you all have a fantastic day!
With Love,
Miss Lynsie
